Debra Zabreznik Basil is a Professor of Marketing at the University of Lethbridge. Debra has a Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a B.A. in marketing from the University of Washington. Debra co-founded and is a member of the Centre for Socially Responsible Marketing (CSRM) at the University of Lethbridge. She has held research grants from SSHRC and Knowledge Development Centre, among others, and has had the honour of serving as the Dhillon School of Business University Scholar. Her research examines how companies and consumers can work together for the betterment of society; specific focal areas include corporate social responsibility, nonprofit appeals, cause-related marketing, volunteerism, and social marketing.
