Research Interests

I am interested in how aquatic organisms respond at the molecular and biochemical level when exposed to biotic and abiotic stressors. In particular, I am interested in identifying molecular responses that result in physiological dysfunction and molecular responses that allow organisms to cope with exposure to stressors. Currently, research in my lab aims to understand the long-term consequences (within and across generations) of acute exposure to natural and anthropogenic chemical stressors, such as pharmaceuticals and personal care products, industrial chemicals such as flame retardants and pesticides, and waste from metal and petroleum mining on reproductive physiology of fishes.
