This course investigates current empirical and theoretical understanding of how humans and animals make decisions. We start from early economic theories and merge this with the basic neurobiology of neural circuits involved in choice. The course has a mixed format of lecture and in-class demonstrations. No prerequisite courses in neuroscience are required. The textbooks are:
