Janay Nugent is an Associate Professor, Department of History and Institute for Child and Youth Studies. She completed her undergraduate degree in History at the University of Lethbridge (1995), and her M.A. (1997) and Ph.D. (2005)in History/Scottish Studies from the University of Guelph. Janay joined the Department of History at the University of Lethbridge in 2003. Her current research interests include children, youth, and parenting in early modern Scotland, gender, women, and family in early modern Europe, and the Scottish Reformation.
